A hell of a weekend.
This weekend, a lot has happened. For one, I believe I've had my first Astral Projection Experience.
And what an experience it was!
How am I so sure that it was not just a dream?
I'm not. I'm a skeptical person. I don't believe things just because. I need scientific proof. But to have that level of consciousness, while being fully aware of one's surroundings and self is hard to come by in an unconscious dream state. I was quite literally awake, except that I was not. I saw from my eyes from the position of where I was sleeping. I knew my eyes were shut. But i saw my windows, blinds, and that picture of me that was hanging on the wall. I lifted my arms to look at my hands, but they were clear. I mean, like see thru. It might have been a dream. But as I said, dreams have a different feel. A different kind of consciousness. In this case, I might as well have been awake and my eyes open. It was so the same taht when I finally did lie there with my eyes open, I wasn't exactly sure I was really awake this time. This doesnt' happen with dreams. When ur awake, you know it.
Sigh.
Whatever. I can't prove it, and I'm skeptical. Until I can master it and perform my experiment. This shall stay as a fun experience but nothing more.

What you are describing is called a hypnagogic hallucination. It's fairly common to experience it occasionally.
